Our story
Founded in 2008 on our four-generation family farm located in the heart of the Flint Hills. We know the value of hard work and the dedication required to cultivate a top-notch product and experience. Our stone is excavated and finished on-site. We strive to exceed industry standards and expect only the best from ourselves and our team.
Our team is prepared to meet your specific needs from helping you select the color and finish you love to delivery or even installation. Our Team
Alex is a born and raised Kansan and the fourth-generation on his family farm. He graduated from Kansas State University in 2008. While in college, he worked part-time for a neighbor operating heavy equipment building terraces and ponds. During that time, he developed an interest in the stone the generations before him fought while farming. Alex developed a desire to build a business on the foundation of Kansas limestone. His love for quarrying began as a child when he played with Tonka Toys in the sandbox. Today, his toys are bigger, but his passion for stone, building and preserving the land remains the same.

Nate joined Flint Hills Stone in 2011 as the first non-family, full-time employee. He supervises all quarry activity, coordinates outgoing loads, and manages production.
Nate Young

Chris oversees all of our cut stone and its production. He also serves as our safety manager, ensuring we are in compliance with safety, health and environmental agencies.
